River Taw Farms is located in Cherryville, NC where Cleveland, Gaston & Lincoln counties merge about 45 minutes west of Charlotte Airport.   We are situated in the Piedmont region in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.    We are one of the largest grassfed beef farms in the Carolinas committed to breeding Black Angus cattle in a natural, sustainable way. We have 1,700 acres of pasture, trees and water and a herd of 300 carefully selected young cows.  We breed from 15 bulls rated at the top of the US registered Black Angus herd. From birth our grassfed cattle receive only their mother’s milk and a 100% grass diet free of herbicides, pesticides, antibiotics and growth hormones.  They are rotated weekly to fresh pastures and never held in confinement.
