C-Saw Hill was formed by Brandon and Lisa Higgins to ensure our family would be safe from over processed, factory food. It is our goal to supply you with the same quality product, produced on our farm that we enjoy. C-Saw Hill Farm is nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in beautiful Rutherford County where we raise pasture poultry, eggs, pork and grass-fed beef. 

We met while working on a commercial hog farm. This relationship is the only good thing that comes from a factory farm. After realizing that "this was not farming" we moved to Brandon's home town of Rutherfordton, NC. We now are both agriculture teachers and do our best to educate as many people as we can about the pitfalls of commercial agriculture and promote sustainable, grass-fed meats.

We are extremely concerned with the safety of commercialized food supplies. We feel that local markets and grass fed animals are the key to making our food system safer and greener. This is why we started C-Saw Hill Farm. We raise meat that is antibiotic, hormone free, and use a slaughter and packaging facility that shares our concerns with food safety. We contract local farmers to grow corn, oats and soybeans for our chickens and pigs, so that we can produce our own feed, we also buy calves from local farmers that perform well on pasture.
