Rainbow Meadow Farms is located in Snow Hill in Greene County within the Coastal Plain of North Carolina. Our farm has been in the family since 1746.  Since that time, we’ve raised tobacco, corn, soybeans, cows, chickens, and, starting in 1996, Dorper sheep.

In recent years, we found that very little money could be made on growing and harvesting row crops.  So we turned most of our two farms into pasture land and now utilize management intensive grazing practices to raise all of our animals.. As we look out the kitchen window and see the sheep grazing in the pasture, we never regret that decision! We believe that raising Dorper and Katahdin sheep will be what helps us to keep the family farm profitable for the next generation.

Our pork, lamb and poultry can be found at the Raleigh Farmers’ Market, Chatham Marketplace, numerous NC restaurants and off-the-farm.
