Balsam Gardens is a small, diversified farm that produces pastured poultry, pork and seasonal produce in concert. In 2010 we were awarded a WNC-Ag Options Grant to purchase on farm poultry processing equipment. We put extra effort into having the cleanest and most wholesome ration possible by having it locally milled just for us. It contains whole grains and healthy vitamins. We use Fertrell Poultry Nutribalance in all our poultry feed, which contains lots of kelp meal to provide trace minerals and optimum health for our birds. Our feed never contains antibiotics, hormones, animal byproducts or used restaurant grease.

Our products can be found at the Jackson County Farmers Market, the Haywoon Historic Farmers Market, local restaurants and independent grocers. We are proud members of the American Pastured Poultry Producers Association and the Independent Small Animal Meat Processors Assocation of Western North Carolina.
